During my lunch hour i decided to go to Cresta Mall where a bunch of Virgin Active Consultants were busy with promotions. One of the consultants approached me and told me all about the promotion in March. He told me that if i join Virgin Active in March i will receive a free bottle and towel, no joining fees and it will only be R279-00 per month. He explained that i need to pay R100-00 that will be for the Virgin Active card that i received. I paid him the R100-00, signed the contract and that was that.

The first debit for the gym was end of March 2013, to my surprise it was no longer R279-00 but now it's R379-00. I sent an email and Inshaaf from the National Head Office contacted me and told me i signed for the R379-00 and he also attached a copy of my contract. There it was as clear as day light that the 2 of R279-00 was converted into a 3 for R379-00.

I would like to report this matter, if Virgin Active is busy misleading people they need to be dealt with. I was deceived in believing the consultant and then he has a nerve to tamper with the document and change the amount. This is and needs to be sorted out.
