Debiting money from my account after I cancelled

I phoned planet fitness to ask when my contract expires since I would like to cancel it. I asked what the procedure is for cancelling the contract. The receptionist said I only had to give a months notice i asked her should I not wait for my contract to run out first (which was within the next 4 months) she said no you can give a months notice and then it will be cancelled. I asked if I am not going to get penalised and have to pay extra gym fees since I signed up via discovery vitality and she said no its just a months notice. Feeling unsure about this I contacted Discovery and they confirmed what I heard from planet fitness again and reconfirmed all the info with planet fit.. I proceeded to cancel my gym with discovery and phoned the reference numbers in to the gym. I asked receptionist should I be getting any confirmation via paperwork she said no I just need the reference numbers. I ask her if she is sure I wont get debited and she said yes. this was in Oct 2012. In November no deduction was taken of my account. In December however R700 got deducted from my account which is more than what I paid R150 is I paid before. They are still deducting money every month.
