In 2010 I joined Shapes for women in Lephalale. However at the end of 2010 I relocated from Lephalale and I called in at Shapes and requested my contract be discontinued. The lady I spoke to told me she will get back to me as she has to ask her boss first. Never heard from her. A year later, I received a call about an outstanding balance on my account and I expressed to the ladt that I am no longer in Lephalale and had notified a lady before. She said she will get back to me and never did.
A year later I get an sms from Lewies & Kitching Attorneys requesting a payment of R6 395.71 including lawyers fees. I called and spoke to a lady named Nina and explained the situation and enquired how I could be handed over to attorneys without any form of notification from Shapes for women. She took down my details and said she will get back to me. She later sent me an email stating that I can pay R3800 which is the balance of the contract. I asked again why is the contract still active when I requested it to be terminated? Why was I not informed? Now they have placed a default on me and it's messing up my credit record. I feel I was unfairly treated and am not willing to pay R6 395
