After joining this so-called best fitness centre, I was told that I was a medium risk client and needed to be cleared by the on-site biokineticist (who was very efficient). He then cleared me (after putting me through a series of tests) and handed clearing documents to the sales department. After numerous visits to the gym I still wasn't cleared. The staff at the door said I could "slip" through and exercise until this matter was resolved. This is unacceptable business practise!! VIRGIN ACTIVE??? STAFF INACTIVE!!! I did everything to the letter they expected and yet they couldn't process the information given to them. ( I was present when the biokineticist enquired about the problem). He spoke to Bruce who assured me the next day all would be sorted. No surprise, I arrived there to find it wasn't sorted. I continued visiting the gym and after a week now I've had enough. Then when I asked to cancel my membership I was told I needed to pay a cancellation fee?? Are you serious?? I have to pay for receiving bad service?? Get real!!! Very disappointed in those guys. You have made a good decision a bad experience, and someone needs to answer for this.
