I enjoyed training at curves, however i am a full time student and single mom, was working part time. Initially i had asked that the membership be put on hold. They still placed debit orders on the account causing it to go in arrears & additionally had to pay penalty. I communicated well in advance, however there was also some or other issue and only after a few times sending the mails and calling did they then do so and said i can come train for two months "free". I was not very happy with that as it now forced me to stumble around to sort this additional expenses.
In mid December i had sent another mail informing them to cancel the membership, doing the seasonal work was insufficient. The debit order was made, however, i sent a follow up email in January probably two weeks prior to debt order dates, to which i was told its the first they receipt of cancellation, i mailed the copy of the other mail, their team said the format of the mail was incorrect, i had said i had informed them well advance and followed up yet still they made the debit order, i sit in arrears plus bank fees, i feel they should refund the expenses as there was no consumer consideration despite my effort
