I have been filling in the little complaint cards at Virgin Active Sandton for over 6 months now but NOTHING gets done, so I'm hoping that this will get them to take my requests seriously.
I have always been to Old Eds, but the last 6 months ive been going to Sandton as it is more convenient. However, the sheer state of disrepair of this gym makes me think otherwise.
1. The sound system (I.e. where you plug in your earphones) on the cardio machines do not work - there is simply static. I am truly sick of 6 months of static and have repeatedly complained, but nothing has been done about it.
2. The downstairs bathroom is always dirty
3. The free weights are always mixed up.
4. Many of the weight machines are rusting, worn or in need of repair.
5. Today I arrived at the gym to find that there was a terrible chemical stench. When I asked I was told that this was the smell of fiberglass as the pool was being repaired. The smell was so bad that I have now left the gym feeling dizzy, headachey and nauseous!
For a gym in such an upmarket area I really do expect more.
I am sick of this poor service and let's just say that planet fitness is looking more and more appealing!
