My car was broken into at Century City VA on Thursday 6th June between 6pm and 7:30pm. My driver's side lock was broken into and the contents of my cubbyhole and bag was, totalling over R6000, not including the R1000 to fix my car door lock. The security guard now finishes at 6pm (when it gets dark) and there is no fence around any of the parking lot and a massive construction site next to the gym. Absolutely no-one is watching your car. I am traumatised by this and have brought up parking lot sfafety before as sometimes there are no lights on (the manager confirmed they were out for a week recently). VA has to take some responsibility for their customer's safety. I walk alone in the dark parking lot at night and sometimes park very far away from the front because it's so busy. The damage to my car and financial loss needs to be addressed as none of it is covered by insurance. I have read many reports on this site about car break ins at many of your gyms and nothing is done. A car was broken into at Century City 4 nights before mine and still there is no security guard. So far, nothing but complacency experienced... shocked.
