I have just received notification that I now owe Planet Fitness R18000 and this is being collected via Saya Recoveries. I am in the process of settling a 36 month contract and the agreed amount was around R11 000 - all monthly payments have been honoured and the amount leftover is around R7000.00. To my dismay I have just received commmunication that the contract was on Auto Renewal - THIS IS UNTRUE AND I HAVE THE CONTRACT WITH ME. On the Contract it stipulates that the contract will not go onto Auto Renewal and this was signed on the 1st of October 2008 at their premises and also by the person who was acting on behalf of Planet Fit. Can this be sorted out immediately and the amounts be reversed as this is an administration problem with Planet Fitness and not with myself. I don't know how these people do business as many people are complaining about their unethical business where they charge people outside of the stipulated contract. MY CONTRACT STATES THAT I WILL NOT BE CHARGED OUTSIDE THE 36 MONTHS PERIOD!!! I am tired of this and will never recommend Planet Fitness to anyone. Furthermore I will be taking this to the Consumer Protection Act!!!
