Dis-Chem
Pharmacist calls me "snotty" for knowing the facts

Was given a Roche/accucheck voucher for a glucose meter. On seeing the form nobody knew how to respond. They called the pharmacist in charge. "SInce when is 6.4 hyperglycemic", he said, rudely. I told him the doc had sent me as I am pre-diabetic and the top acceptable level is 5.9 or 6, and that other tests were done. He clearly didn't want to give me a meter, so I said I'd go elsewhere as he was arguing with me in a bullying manner. He said he wasn't arguing but that I was "snotty". At that I walked away, but i have to admit that I did swear at him as I left, because he had made me embarrassed, and not shown any of the care I expect from a pharmacist. I have experienced bad attitude from Dis-chem staff before, and now I will never go back. A professional behind the pharmacy counter should be expected to behave as such. Not like an aggressive bully. It is unacceptable, even if he didn't understand the voucher.
