I sent a friend to go exchange a stove at Usave Kwanokuthula as its guarantee is only valid up to today. On arriv she was attended to by a James who refused to accept the stove back as she didn't have a tillslip because we have lost it. The product's guarantee is valid up until today and on the box it is clearly stated that it was purchased n the 26th of April last year. The stove is giving me problems, I can't really do anything with it, if you try to turn it down so as to decrease the heat it will not go down, it is always at boiling temperature and the Oven doesn't bake or work properly. James' arrogant attitude is that we took note that today is the last day of the guarantee and we thought we should take our chances for a new stove and it wasn't like that. Its clearly not our problem that we are able to take something back to the supermarket even if its its last day of Grantee. The main reason why they write the date of purchase on the actual box is obviously due to the fact that Shoprite knows it is not always easy to keep one's receipt and so they write the date of purchase on the box itself. I'm not happy about the kind of service we're receiving and the last day is today.
