Checkers & Checkers Hypers
Unethical voting in competition

Checkers is running a competition on Facebook. The prize is a years supply of Pampers nappies. To enter, you upload a photograph, and Share it on Facebook to earn votes. The photo with the most votes wins. To vote, you register a valid email address and cell phone number, and vote every day by entering the email address and a captcha code. You are allowed 1 vote per day per email address. Problem is that entrants are gathering contact details, registering their friends and family and voting on their behalf. This is unfair and unethical. Checkers is aware of it, yet they allow these people to continually cheat their way to the top, instead of disqualifying them. There are MANY complaints and queries on Checkers Facebook page as to how the top entrants are gaining literally hundreds of votes per day. It would be impossible to gain so many votes in such a short time if stricter measures were in place to ensure that all votes cast are legit. The voting system is being abused beyond Checkers control and they are doing nothing about it. The design of the contest is weak and flawed because it can so easily be manipulated, resulting in blatant unfairness. Go to [URL Removed]
