I live close to Spar so it is the only place i go to for shopping. Convenience and all.
But the MEATS are horrible. I have now, for the 4th and last time bought BAD MEAT. If PORK is SLIMY and the BEEF smells OFF it tends to be BAD!!! I have worked in and Operated Restaurants for 19 years and actually do know what i am talking about. And then they should please not mix the old meat from the weekend with new meats on Monday Mornings and then re-date it. They would do well to smell the meat themselves also. How else will they know. Even if you wash the meat, the BONE and FAT keeps that OFF SMELL. Monday was when i bought the meats.
Then the VEGETABLES. Every packet i picked up or looked at was past the expiry date, some by up to 3 days.
So, i will not go back. Really how many times must i be disappointed. And only because i bought for comfort and it does not even come cheaply. I spent a lot of money every month with you guys, but it is over now. I am in the SERVICE business also and thought to let you know what is going on in your business.
