I don't have a specific date to provide for this complaint, but as a sushi fan, I often like to pick up a take-away whilst doing my grocery shopping at various supermarkets. On one of my visits to this particular store, I asked the African gentleman who was making the sushi why he wasn't wearing gloves whilst preparing the food, to which he responded that he can't feel what he's doing. Needless to say, I didn't buy any sushi from the store that day.
On another occasion, I once again noticed that the food was being prepared without gloves and spoke to the manager about it, who basically told me I could go to any sushi restaurant anywhere and I wouldn't see them preparing the sushi with gloves on.
I have a huge problem with this, and feel that people should know about it. Other supermarket chains with sushi bars are able to operate with gloves on. If the sushi bar isn't practising hygiene, what then about the rest of the food preparation elsewhere in the store.
