Quick to take, Millennium to give back

On the 25th of March we went grocery shopping at Pick & Pay East Rand Mall. When it was time for payment the problem was that the card machines "did not work". Finally they received a machine that worked (apparently). My credit card is swiped with ninja like reflexes, but it was declined, according to the cashier the banks were offline, so I said fine and gave another bank card, which was approved and I smiled and took my groceries and went home. On the 27th of March I got an sms notification stating that there has been ANOTHER transaction of R3500 on my credit card. Strangely enough it was the exact amount as two days earlier. I went into my bank and asked for clarity on the situation, they told me that a pending payment had gone through to Pick & Pay and that I should go back and resolve the issue with them. So I went to them asap and they send me back and forth to the bank for almost an hour. Eventually I spoke to a manager at Pick & Pay, he kindly ASSURED me they will sort it out on 2 April first thing in the morning, stupidly I believed him and went home. Today it's the 8th April 2013, and each day it's a different story!! Then also what about interest? Bank costs? Pathetic. I'm disgusted.
