I purchased the following ingredients from Pick n Pay Ballito over Easter weekend, Pick n Pay fresh cream, Cottage cheese, Tennis biscuits, icing sugar etc to make a cheese cake. I always check the expiry dates as I have been caught out a few times. On opening the Pick n Pay fresh cream it was a bit thick but looked ok so I thought well I would save on the whipping. When I put all my ingredients together all was fine until I tasted the final product and smelt it. Was off. As the biscuits and icing sugar could not be the cause I checked the cottage cheese container all was fine there but on closer examination the fresh cream was a bit suspect. Thus my family's expectations of cheese cake for dessert were dashed as I had to throw about R50 worth of product in the dustbin. This is not the first time I have had bad cream from Pick n Pay and had to throw it away. Please check your products more carefully or else change your suppliers. I am beginning to think no name brands are inferrior to normal products.
