Snail in food

I enjoy buying your prepacked mixed salad as it is quicker and easier for me to use and from what I understand it is washed and ready to use.
Last week I was very irritated to find a snail in my mixed salad. This week the same thing a small snail in the mixed salad. Should one not trust the packaging anymore??? I might as well buy a lettuce for cheaper and wash it myself at least I can ensure that it is snail free!!!
