On Thursday 28 April 2013 at about 6:30 PM my family and I visited President Hyper in Krugersdorp as it is 1 the nearest hypermarket to us and 2 the most convenient, however upon finishing our shopping and waiting next in line at the cashier - I believe it to be the till opposite the kiosk, the lady in front of us took her time to unpack her groceries and insisted on having a discussion in her native tongue with the cashier. The cashier didn't seem to be in any particular hurry to finish the conversation she was having and as we were in a hurry and late for an appointment I was rather frustrated by being kept waiting. There must have been about 3 customers after us also waiting to be served. I politely asked the cashier whether she'd prefer to take the customers details and visit her later for a chat considering the rest of us were waiting to be served only to be told to :'Shut up! ' and that 'You are a white! ' by both the cashier and your 'valued customer'. I insisted on speaking to the manager and was told: 'that wouldn't help much he's black too! ' I lost my temper and left the store. Is this really the kind of service your cashiers give? I'm avoiding this store in future!
