I bought a bicycle from Sportsmans Warehouse - 11 months ago. Last week I took it in for a service and got it back on Tues evening. The person who handed the bike over to me told me that their technician have resigned but that they got someone from another branch to service the bike and that their was no charge involved. I thought that was great since I did'nt have to pay anything. The next morning I got on my bike to cycle to work & about a minute of riding, the back wheel falls out. Needless to say I found myself flat on my back in the middle of the road with a bruised leg. I then took the bike & the wheel back to Sportsmans Warehouse & explained to them what happened. What I got from the store manager was complete insensitivity & aloofness. He even went as far as asking me why I did'nt notice that nuts on the wheel was loose. He also insisted that I forward the receipt to him to see if I really did buy the bike at their store (which I did). Not once did he apologize for their obvious mistake or show any consideration for my injuries. I'm sure that things would have been much worse if the wheel fell off when I was on a busy road. I'm also sure the bike won't ride the same again.
