On the 29/01/13 I placed an order for eight SOLO chairs from Obros International. I transferred the payment of R7 431, 67 immediately as insisted on by the sales rep with whom I dealt. After weeks of waiting I received an e-mail, full of excuses, re the delay, saying the delivery would be effected on Tuesday 2 weeks ago. Still waiting.
I found out last week that the sales person concerned has left the company. I managed to speak to Johan Watson, last Thursday. He promised to get back to me immediately, as the chairs are required by clients of mine for the Easter weekend. I have had no response from anyone at Obros since, although I've left message after message on their voice mail.
Surely if you are running a business you have to return calls/e-mails/sms's from people who have paid in advance for goods but have not received them?
Perhaps they've all gone to Mauritius on our paid but unsupplied orders?
3 months for a simple order, when I was told the lead time for these chairs is 14 days?
They have such a brilliant website and then it all falls apart.
