I was contacted by a salesman (Pravesh - not sure of the name) from Monster Motors regarding a vehicle that I advertised on Gumtree. he told me that he was desperately looking for a vehicle like mine and whether the price was negotiable. Because of what I have paid for the aftermarket mags & tyres that I fitted to the vehicle and still high settlement, I could not really drop with my price.
We agreed that I will to drop my price and fit the original rims & tyres on which they will then just pay the settlement value for the vehicle. He discussed it with his manager (Mohamed) who wanted to see the vehicle The salesman ensured me that it was almost a done deal and they just wanted to see the vehicle and would settle it there and then if they were satisfied with the condition. On Friday night we drove through to Durban from Richards Bay and booked into a guest house. Saturday morning I phoned him to confirm our appointment and he said that I had to see Mohamed if he wasn't in. On my arrival, Mohamed had a look at the vehicle and just took a few photos for his client. I could have emailed them photos and wanted then to refund my trip. I was informed that they were not prepared to do so.
