Over the past few months I have had several bad experiences with produce/items from the Longbeach Mall Branch, see below:
Last 6 - 8 months:
Rotten pork
Burger patties with mould growing on them
Last 2 months:
Putrifying chicken on the shelves x 2 - once so bad it was green
Pork spare ribs - 1 month past the sell by date
Chocolate Milk - -7 days past the expiry date
Some of the above items were purchased by me and only noted smell etc when the packaging was opened. However, in looking for items on the shelves the following was also noted:
Stilton Cheese - about a week past the sell by date
Fresh (sic) pre-cut carrots - 5 days past the sell by date
This is totally unacceptable and poses health issues when it come to "fresh" produce. This above issues were and several other were reported to the Pick 'n Pay Head Office and I received a call from Ian Spinas on the 12/02/2013. He advised that I would receive a call within 2 days to set up a meeting with the branch manager, guess what... I am still waiting. I think they are hoping that by not calling I will just go away and keep quiet, guess again... I won't!!!
