I stepped into the Dis Chem store to get a prescription from the dentist. The first lady I saw said she can't help me because the doctors' handwriting didn't match. I came back to the store an hour later to confirm whether I wasn't getting my prescription due to handwriting as I wasn't aware that Dis-Chem is a forensic/writing specialist place. I managed to get to a different pharmacist (Annetjie) when she asked the other pharmacist what the problem was the lady (a stern looking, Afrikaans speaking lady) said that she's not sorry to have not given me my meds as the handwriting is shifty!!! My problem was also that my doc is in Melrose, JHB and having to wait for Mon was unacceptable. Annetjie (bless her) managed to get hold of Dr Yastiel and it was arranged for a new script to be sent. Fair enough, my other problem is that I was asked by Annetjie if I don't know a doc in Vdp who could write a script for me. Isn't that though? Or is it company policy that people should just get scripts from doc's that the pharmacists know??? Also the pharmacists at Vaal Mall are RUDE for days esp towards black people. I dread having to go there for my dad's diabetes prescription
