I handed in a silver ring to be made larger at the Mall@Reds Branch on 5 February 2013. I was informed that the estimated price would be R150. The branch called me on Friday 8 February 2013 and informed me I could fetch the ring. On Saturday 9 February 2013 I went to the shop where I was informed that the costs would be R269. When I complained about the fact that it was a lot more than the estimated amount, one of the ladies in the shop proceeded to ask me if I did not know what plus minus means in a very condescending manner. I informed her that I was well aware but that the cost was not even near the estimate. The ladies in the shop said they would take up the matter with their manager and get back to me. Earlier today, 11 February 2013 Given from American Swiss phoned me. She informed me that she thought that the ring was going to be made smaller and not bigger and therefore she informed me that the price would be around R150 as the price to make it smaller is usually around R180. Her tone was impatient and unfriendly. The employee made the mistake in giving the wrong price and I will not be held repsonsible for the mistakes of American Swiss' employees.
