I purchased a bed from this store in Ottery on Sunday. The store delivered on Monday, but the legs were missing (which lift the base up off the floor). After several calls, I was told the driver would drop it, but they could not make any promises. Eventually I had to drive to the nearest store to get it myself.
Well, when I got home I discovered that the legs would not fit into the base because the base itself was defective. After several more calls, I was told that the base would be swapped this morning for the correct base.
This morning the driver came to my house, dropped off legs for the base, and drove off without a word. I already fetched the legs myself yesterday, so this guy was clearly not doing his job.
After several calls today - all from my side, to track the progress of the replacement, I find out from a rude woman that:
1) The store does not offer cash refunds - this is illegal according to the Consumer Protection Act.
2) They can't replace the defective base today - even though they promised me they would yesterday.
I've taken steps to report them to the Consumer Complains Commission, don't ever shop at Budget Furniture, rather burn your money.
