I normally do my monthly shopping at Checkers. I only spent R800 that day but i normally have shopping spend of R3000 pm.
I visited Checkers at Westgate Shopping Centre yesterday and was utterly disgusted by the service I received from your Manager there Charles Mxolisi.
I required an item that was not in stock. I asked him why there was no indication of the limit on the sales pamphlet and at the rack. Charles stated that there is no need to do this since in the pamphlet, it says "We reserve the right to limit quantities". He confirmed that this was in accordance witht the CPA but as soon as i asked him to confirm it on tape, he ran away from me without saying a word. I then asked for his manager's name, all he gave me was a piece of paper with the Checkers helpline number on it.
That was absolutely disgusting service. Funny enough, earlier one of the till ladies mentioned that there has been an error with an order from a supplier and that is why there was a limit.
It was one simple product but you have scarred me as a customer for life. I will surely make plenty of noise about this type of service especially since I believe it was against consumer rights.
