I bought goods from homechoice in 2012 and by January 2013 I phoned for a final amount and paid it, only to have them call me in Nov and tell me I still had an outstanding balance and was long overdue. I asked for a statement and after receiving it agreed to pay the balance in 2 instalments. I never gave a date but assured that the account would be paid up by end of Dec. I made the first payment on the 10th Dec and the final payment on the 19th Dec. Then in Jan I applied for a loan with Standard bank and they declined saying I had been listed by homechoice for late payments in Oct and Nov. I have since not been able to get any credit from Standard bank because of the listing. When I phoned Homechoice I had so many different stories from the different agents I spoke to that all didn't tally. The one lady even put me on hold for 20mins and just didn't bother getting back to me. I had absolutely no problem with ordering and the delivery of my goods but to now get a proper answer as to why I have been listed is like I am asking them to send me good for free, yet everyday I get their specials on email. Standard bank even said that the listing required me to go for 6 months debt REHAB!!
