I closed my credit card with Woolworths 7 years ago. A couple of years ago Woolworths changed to ABSA Bank with this change my credit card was reactivated. I called Woolworth whom assured me that the account was closed and had been reactivate in error when they changed Banks. I got a apology for the inconvenience this may have caused. Behold I started getting emails and phone call from a Debit collecting company
Norman Bissett & Associates. I told them that this account has been closed for years and that Woolworths acknowledged that the account was reactivated in error. I've asked for proof where they can show that I have used the card (which has expired and was destroyed), by the way I have not received a new card??? I'm now sick and tired of this. When calling Woolworths head office I get told they can't help me. I get told just pay the amount of R2143.36. Woolworths you and Norman Bissett & Associates can go to and back. I have not used this account in 7 years.
