From excellent to appalling in one easy step

19th Dec my daughter and i went to Musica at East Rand Mall (Gauteng), to purchase a particular set of headphones advertised. as they were out of stock, we settled for an alternate even more expensive set, but enquired whether a store in Cpt (Canal Walk-megastore), would have as we would be in Cpt the next day. i was contacted later that day by East Rand Mall advising that Canal Walk indeed had stock and that Wellington is the person i should see (agreed before 12 am), who will be holding the item for us. We arrived at the store in Canal Walk at 09h00 on the 20th, No Wellington (late shift) or headphones?? No manager to address or speak with us to explain what happened. Weasked the staff if N1 city branch had stock and they confirmed a pink pair would be held for us. Went straight there, and they had put aside an Orange set?? luckily a pink set was found and after rather unhappy manager apologised and provided exchange and voucher for the refund amount. Jhb staff brilliant; and the Canal Walk staff Cpt couldnt be bothered?? N1 took the brunt for what was not their fault??
