I have previously purchased items from this branch of Dion Wired. Each time I was issued a manual vat invoice with with my company name and Vat Number. Today I attempted to purchase a product, they informed me that head office had removed their ability to issue vat invoices. They could offer me a printout with my vat number on it, but not my company details. This does not seem appropriate for a large business.
Staff at the front counter were poorly trained, but the branch manager seemed to poorly informed as well.
I asked the staff to provide me with good customer service and allow me to pay for the item, they could deliver it a their convenience later with a proper tax invoice. Its a pity since I have spent in the region of R20000 in the past year at this two of their branches. Another example of great South African service. Fortunately competitors who will be willing to take my business.
