I am appalled with the bad service, or for better terms, the lack thereof at both the stores at Irene Village Mall and Sandton City. On Saturday, 28 December 2013 I purchased some training gear form the store in Irene. I literally had to beg the sales consultant to assist me. And then I made the mistake of trying to pay for my purchase, and what an effort for the Totalsports staff to assist me at the pay point. If it wasn't so late in the afternoon I would have gone to Sportman's Warehouse in Centurion.
I consider myself as a fairly intelligent guy, but do you think I have learnt from my mistake? No, I haven't! And what did I do on Tuesday, 7 January 2014? I went back to Totalsports, but this time to the store in Sandton City. There were no sales consultants around to assist me. I eventually found the pair of shorts I was looking for.
And when it came to paying, I had to go to three pay points, before someone assisted me. At the first two pay points all I receive from the staff members were an "Eish, go there". No "good morning" or even any other form of acknowledgment. Well, Totalsports, you will not see me at any of your stores again.
