Called Baby City Benmore to ask if they had stock of a particular feeding chair, in a very specific colour - green and blue. Sales staff on the phone confirmed that they have not just one, but many in stock and that there is no reason to put one aside if we are coming to collect one the following day. We asked him to put it aside anyway. We also confirmed the price with this dear gentleman, who said the price was R2000.
When entering the store, no staff is anywhere to be found for assistance - this seems to the be case every time we go to nearly any baby city and is my first complaint for poor service. When we finally managed to find someone we asked them to please fetch the baby chair we asked to have put aside. After nearly ten minutes, the staff member brought us a grey and red chair. Not being the colour I had asked for on the phone, I asked them to check the stock again, and to please bring me the correct one. After another ten minutes or so, I was informed that they did not have the one I wanted (even after several confirmations the previous day on the telephone).
