On the 31-12-2013 at around 18h00 I purchased a Beef Stew Rice Verg plate at Shoprite checkers Three Rivers. I ate just a small portion of the stew and rice and placed the plate in the fridge. The following day which was the 1st-01-2014 at about 22:00 I sat down to enjoy my meal. I took about three spoons of everything and that's when I came accross a very disgusting BIG GREEN FLY hidden underneath the cabbage. I fealt so disgusted and immediately lost my appetite. I can't help it but wonder what else I could have eaten without noticing it. One thing for sure is that I will never purchase any plates from their kitchen depratment and nor will I allow anyone that I know to do so a well. It is just unfortunate that I only saw the fly a day after I had bought the food, I would have taken it back. I certainly hope this matter is taken forward and dealt with as the kitchen stuff are solely to blame for these. This means that this fly was in the pot that cooked the cabbage and still dished to a plate and then sealed without being detected... that's awful. Poor... poor kitchen work ethics. Either way it leaves a bitter pill to swallow. I even have pictures of the fly in my food.
