Cellphone insurance claim decline

I am a very x-staff member really now, the story is as follows my account was closed by Edcon on the 21 of November 13 since I was retrenched by the company and my insurances were also cancelled by the system automatically because of closure, on the 21 December 13 I lost my phone so I went to the store to make a claim which Finrite has declined because the insurance is not active on the account I then contacted the store and was advised the phone insurance is not active I then explained to them what could be the cancellation reason of the cell phone insurance on my account and they advised me to speak to Finrite and explain to them as well and I did that and they understood me and Finrite advised me to contact RCO and explained to them as they can not process the claim on a closed account so they said its either customer services opens the closed account for the claim to be processed or they open a normal account for the insurances to be transferred on that normal account I then contacted RCO spoke to Nokuthula who advised me that there's nothing they can do as account is closed and insurances are also cancelled explained to her what happed she said I was suppose to know.
