I was in Alberton citys Checkers and a fire extinguisher fell off the wall and hit me in the arm and my girlfriend on her leg, there was no serious injuries but it did leave a fairly big scratch on her leg. When we spoke to the managers, it honestly felt like they had no remorse towards us. All I basically got from them was 'go to the doctor and then we talk' I wasn't going to waste my time going to a doctor for a bruise and scratch just to have it 'maybe' paid for.
There was no hospitality from the mangers in any way, they didn't even offer us the slightest of help, even something as small as offering a seat or just a glass of water. The extinguisher literally fell within centimetres from my girlfriends toes, any closer, it could of cause serious injury or even losing a toe from the height it fell from, when I checked the wall where it was hanging, the bracket (or what ever was supposed to be holding it up) was missing, all I found was a flat board with cracks. Even if one of us did tap it accidentally, someone didn't take the right measures and check if the extinguisher was properly mounted to the wall and safe.
Im just very disappointed how the whole situation was handled.
