About 3 weeks ago we bought buns at Checkers. The lady working there just gave us old buns without saying a word. Hoping it was just a bad batch we didn't complain and just left it. Yesterday we went to Checkers to get some food for the weekend. We bought garlic buns in a tray.. Again - as hard as rock!! The hotdog buns are very long.. But completely flat!! The bakery is definitely not what it used to be and we will buy our bread in the future from Woolies in the same complex. We had another shock when we threw the sosatie wors in the oven for hotdogs (or rather flat dogs) today. We didn't spice the wors at all, but it was so salty that we could not eat it. It was truly disgusting.
We stay in Eco Park.. And the Checkers is so convenient. But i am sad to say that i will not shop there anymore. I would much rather go to Woolies or Food Lovers Market. The food is not what it should be.
