I've received a Gift Card for my birthday from my mother with the amount of R600.Went to Foschini Kolonnade on 2013-10-25, Spend my time searching and fitting all the nice stuff I wanted. At the till the card did not want to read and then the response: Oh the cards not reading, holding it in front of me with such a dull look in the eyes. I wanted to flip, what can I do about it, why do Foschini issue gift cards or have the option of gift cards if the staff do not know what to do when it is not reading? Why do they not test the cards before issuing it to a client? Why can' they type the card nr in and let the clients use it if the magnetic strip is not reading? I took my card and left without anything. Today I've tried again at Wonderpark, went through the same excercise and the card still did not want to read. They're running around with scanners and do not really want to assist you as client, you are so in their way and they make it clearly visible. They phoned customer care because I've insisted to use the gift card, it took half an hour to get a form to fax to get a new Gcard, do not know how long it will take to transfer the amount to the new card. Now I have to wait due to your damaged card
