I bought a cooler chair at Makro on 30 November 2013 and found out later on that it was torn. I tried returning it on 16 December 2013 but i was told about a 14 days return policy which is only written at their return desk and not on the till slip. I have a problem with the way my query was handled:
1. How was i supposed to know about the 14 days if it is not written on the slip?
2. The item is damaged which is not my fault but they refuse a return
3. I was advised the suppliers have closed for the festive and i will only get a "fixed" cooler in January. What am i supposed to use in the meantime?
To add insult to injury, i lodged a complained on the Makro website on 17 December 2013 and haven't received any response to date. I shop monthly at Makro and spend - R3000. This was a R250 item but i still could not get a decent service. How am i supposed to gain any confidence in Makro if they cannot even give me a call?
