I would like to express my disappointment by the Sandton City festive train service provider during my visit to Sandton City on the evening of Wednesday, 18th December 2013. My 2 year old daughter and I stood in the queue for the festive train at 17h50. At 17h55, as the train arrived back at the pick up point, the driver of the train simply advised us as he passed the queue (with another Dad and his toddler also waiting) that it was now 17h55, and that the train rides were finished for the day! Not wanting to make a scene, I tried to explain to my daughter why she would not be receiving a ride!!!
Naturally, this really annoyed me, and disappointing my daughter, especially since we were in the queue before the scheduled 6pm end time! This is certainly not the level of customer service I have come to expect from any service provider, whether contracted or tenanted, by Sandton City!
