To whom it may concern
It is extremely frustrating to be one of many loyal muslim woolies customers to continuously inform management that if goods (which were previously halaal) are no longer due to a different supplier- they should place notices up for a sufficient period or have notices put up so as to inform their muslim customers.
For years a product would be halaal and then suddenly out of the blue that changes very quietly and nobody is notified until muslims consume unhalaal goods (unaware) and by word of mouth the news finally reaches the masses if lucky.
This is completely irresponsbile of an established concern such as woolies to overlook such a crucial aspect of responsible retailing, especially since they claim to have their customer's interests at heart.
I hope to see this changed very soon or I am certain a large pool of their customer base will take more drastic action which I am sure is not necessary if they are just willing to cooperate and take responsibility for their actions.
