This afternoon of 17 December 2013, @ 15:40pm I purchase food including a tray of chicken priced at R21.44 at Pick & Pay Strand Street. When I started to prepare supper, it turned out the chicken was off and just by the smell of it. I could not continue whith my supper. I contacted the customer care line 0800112288 and discovered that the contact centre was closed had to leave my name and number. They should indicate on the slip to the customer care line number operating hours to avoid us contacting after hours as cell phones are billed on this line. In summing all this up, I still have the chicken unused, its off and did not know what to do next as the customer care line is closed. Dissappointed, as the sell by date for this chicken is dated 19 December 2013.
