I went to Edgars, found they had a 20% discount on their jeans. So i got a pair of Guess, which the price tag said cost R799.00. I worked it out, 20% off that is about R560. So i go pay, and they charge me R639.20. I had a look at the receipt after, and figured out that they charged me VAT on the R560. What nonesense! How come the price you see always includes VAT, unless it's a discounted item? THIS IS!
