On 15 October, 2013 I sent the following e-mail to [Email Removed]
" I purchased chicken thighs, which were on a special, from your Liberty Mall Branch in Pietermaritzburg. The date was either 21 or 23 September, 2013. Unfortunately I don't have the till slip as I entered a competition for a car by dropping it in a competition box at the store.
The thighs were frozen (at home) and only used later. Since my wife was in the process of preparing a meal we were not able to go all the way to the mall to lodge a complaint immediately and, we were expecting guests, had to press on with what we had.
The thighs were advertised as such but when using them it was discovered that a large section of the chicken's backbone and hip were included. Consequently we ended up with more bone than meat.
I have attached photos to illustrate.
Kind regards
George Fawdry"
They replied as follows:
"Good Day
Thank you for your email. I have forward it to the corporate brand department.
Kind Regards"
They asked me for my contact details which I e-mailed immediately and have sent a number of reminders with, to date, no reply.
Your assistance in resolving my complaint would be much appreciated.
