WHAT IS THE AREA MANAGER'S JOB DESCRIPTION

I lodged a complaint with customer care about the shop busy changing prices I the store for 3 months or more. The issue was about children sandals with a price tag of R150 and told at the till it was R200. They justified their argument by pointing at a 3 months old note saying we are busy with price changes.

I took the cashier on referring to an argument I had with her 3 months back. I promised to take the matter further this time around and the assistant behind the counter wrestled the box from me when taking the picture of the price on the box.

Customer care responded by assigning the Area Manager to my query to which after several days wrote a follow up Email that I was still waiting for the call. The Area man said he spoke to the staff who he knows very well because he worked with them and that they promised him they gave me the best service! In his own words he told me it's normal for them to take that long to change prices as they are not Shoprite who works 24hrs. I got so irritated, but I then understood the personnel's attitude because the Area Manager has their back.

The Customer care lady whom I communicated with followed up my query and apologised on behalf of all!
