On Friday 29th November, I visited the Centurion branch with a view to buying a TV. Having settled on the one I wanted I was informed that, as our TV license was in the husband's name, I would require a copy of his ID. Albie, the consultant promised that he would keep one TV for me hold. He took my number and we agreed I would be back on Sunday. On Sunday morning, Albie called me and asked if I was still coming. I said I would be there within an hour. 30 minutes later, I was on my way to Makro Centurion, I called Albie only for him to tell me that the TV had been sold. I doubt very much that the consultant got more commission for selling the TV to someone else - and they were sold out! It is most annoying that a simple promise cannot be kept.
