At around 7:10pm on Sunday 1 Dec, I went into the Game store in Gateway. I was with my 18 month old child and wanted to buy her a stuffed Barney that she really wanted. When I found it in the aisle there were 3 on the shelf, and I looked for one with the price tag on it - because I already know how slow the service is at Game. I could not find a person to help me and none of them had a barcode or price, so I took one and went to the till.
After following the queue for 10 minutes, I got to the cashier and off course she didnt know the price. So she called another lady to check the price. After 10 minutes I got irritated and enquired - and I was told that they are checking with the supervisor.
All this time there was a nice vibe going on in the store with a DJ getting children to dance, and even having a dancing competition between the cashiers. This was very enjoyable, however another 5 minutes had passed, so I went to this DJ and asked him to help me since he was so enthusiastic. I also saw the store manager and asked him to help me. The 2 of them then stood near the entrance chatting, but after another 5 minutes (more than 20 minutes in all) I decided to walk out the store.
