We purchased a Hisense 730L Fridge and in the store there was a LG (yes, LG) sticker on the fridge stating that it didn't fit through a standard door and that the fridge doors need to be removed but that LG perform the function free of charge. So I asked the salesman about this and he mentioned that it does not apply to Hisense and promptly removed the sticker. Now, I could've sworn I asked about the fitting through the door bit and he said that it does fit.
So when they delivered the fridge my wife phones and says that the fridge does not fit through the doors and that the fridge doors need to be removed at an *additional* charge of R250. Something that was not communicated in the store AT ALL. So they had to take back the fridge as I cannot for the life of me see why I should pay for something I was not informed about and that *really* should not be that hard.
So all Makro is going to do is deliver the fridge when I'm home so that I can take the doors off myself.
Very poor communication / sales information.
