I never thought that I would write a complain, but then again I have never received such bad service as I had today. While shopping at the Mat & May Bloemfontein Store I noticed a beautiful watch and then continued to enquire about the price. The two staff members started talking in their native tongue leaving me completely out of the conversation. She then told me R500, I really liked the watch at then wanted to take a photograph of this watch to show my husband who is from a rural area and only does shopping if he has a specific thing he has to look for. And I mean, how else am I going to tell him that this is the watch that I want and it is not like I am going to copy the watch, it is a watch for crying out loud! The staff member then very rudely starts telling me that there is no way that I can take a picture, I explain the special circumstances to her, she shows no compassion instead asking me and embarrassing me in front of the whole store, since when can customers just do what they want. I am now taking my business elsewhere, to a store that values my patronage.
