My husband has an account with Lewis for 4 years now and recently we have experienced some problems with our account. In the past 3 months we paid a total of R4000 on the account. The last balance in Sept was R6100 and the current balance in Nov is R7300. The account has not been updated and no one knows why! In July I had to lodged a complaint so that a payment of R1600 could be updated. I have gone to 3 different branches and the excuse was that it could be the insurance. An amount of R5200 cannot be insurance. I need answers asap. HQ Customer Service said the amount on their system and my receipt balance is not the same but could not tell me why. Furthermore the lady appeared to be annoyed with me because she couldn't answer me. My account needs to be updated. I need answers as to why my account is not correct and why I have to call around and waste petrol to resolve this. I do not have peace of mind as this is a recurring problem and they are not doing their job. If I didn't check, this would have gone unnoticed. can they please move away from outdated bookkeeping methods and issue me with a card instead of me paying with a slip so everything can be electronic. I feel defraude
