My Woolworths Credit Card expired end of October 2013 and Woolworths is unable to re-issue a new card due to the fact that I cannot maintain my Credit profile. As 4-5 months ago I kept on getting statements that my account was in arrears with R4500. My credit limit was increased 5 months ago and there was a mess up on Woolworths side which displayed that my limit increase was never approved and that I have gone R4500 over my limit. After numerous phone calls to Woolworths to state that my limit increase was approved and granted to me, they stated that my account was in fact in arrears with R4500. After 30 -35 phone calls and me as client taking the beating with cell phone charges, they eventually confirmed that my account was granted a limit increase and that Woolworths made a mistake. They listed me on ITC as 30 days late payment and I did make monthly payments on the card. Now that my card is up for renewal, they stated that a new card cannot be issued to me as per low credit scoring. This is unacceptable as clients do not come first. The fact that I am receiving a letter that state that I cannot manage my account, is totally unacceptable. Strange how I have R3100 available.
