Makro NON-EXISTENT aftersales service DAMAGED GOOD

Our company facilitate bush camps for large groups of people. In preparation for a group of 18 guys, on 4th October, we bought a Terrace Life pot (On special for R500 - now I understand why...) and in the same transaction, also purchased meat for the weekend to the value of R1, 500. Upon inspection of the pot only from noticing that it was leaking rapidly while our potjie was cooking, we noticed that the potjie had clearly been welded closed, probably after it had been made to try close the hole in the bottom of it! Glen went to Makro just after the weekend to take the pot back. David (manager on duty at the time) ensured Glen that the pot will be collected by the supplier the very next day as they were aware of that specific defect - we can only get our money back once its inspected by them. A WEEK later, Glen got an sms to say the supplier had collected the pot. It is now a MONTH later and neither the supplier nor Makro has contacted us once. So now we do not have a pot, we lost R500, AND the meat we cooked went to a complete waste (we were in the bush, nothing we could do)! Seems like Makro was hoping we would let it slide, less effort for them or their supplier?? UNACCEPTABLE!!!
